Davey joins the Backend Development team as a PHP WordPress Developer. His role will be to configure the web server and implement the server-side code for client sites once their designs have been turned into HTML by the Frontend team. He will also provide support to existing clients by making amendments and bug fixes to through support tickets.

Having achieved a BSc (Hons) in Computing from University of Newport, Davey started his coding career as the lead designer and webmaster on a WordPress-based site for a small business, based in Caerphilly from 2016-2019. He also gained some of his freelancing experience. Davey has had a life-long interest in web and digital design and learned HTML at the age of 13 by reading the source code of web sites.

One of Davey’s career highlights was designing the company’s brand/logo for his previous company and integrating their product data into WordPress and developing a system that allowed them to create and print sheets of labels for their products, sourced from that data.

In his spare time Davey enjoys making 3D models in Blender and his claim to fame is that he was in the first episode of BBC’s The Story of Wales, as a caveman in the segment on the Red Lady of Paviland.
