Dominic is a .NET developer, working as a backend developer with Umbraco CMS. Dom takes beautiful artwork created by our design and front-end teams and turns them into reusable pieces of functionality. This will allow clients to manage their website.
Dom’s experience includes a degree in Business Management and Finance. He was also a data analyst for a refrigeration company, a sales manager at Debenhams and worked at a Bristol private jet terminal. He did everything from flight planning, dispatching, martialling, managing the operations desk and selling private jet flights to the rich and famous! As well as this experience, Dom went travelling around South East Asia and Australia for two years.
He also got stuck into a data analyst role at Tribal Group – a global market leader in education software for universities and colleges – where he created dashboard, reports and analysis. He spent three years as a full stack developer at Tribal Group, too. He created a new web app every three months for government contracts to provide data management and performance reporting. He also pushed the team to adopt .NET core, mitigated apps to Azure and championed the use of DevOps. He worked with Umbraco CMS to provide school teachers with classroom resources.
Dom’s biggest strength is being able to shift gear from the finest level of detail in a line of code to seeing the bigger picture and commercial impact of a project. This experience is valuable in the work he does for us at Spindogs.
